Learning About Charitable Organizations in Johns Creek, GA

charitable_organizations_johns_creekAt American Kidney Services (AKS), we know that it can sometimes be confusing to choose from among all the charitable organizations in Johns Creek and the other communities in the Metro Atlanta area. At the end of the day, you have to contribute to a charity whose mission you feel strongly about and you want to know that your donation is in good hands. If you’re not already familiar with AKS and the work that we do, we’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit more about our organization and why we’ve become one of the leading local charities.

AKS strives to help patients suffering from kidney disease meet their daily living expenses and pay for treatment-related costs. Many patients with this illness are on rigorous dialysis schedules, which may make it hard for them to hold down a job or receive a regular pay check. They might need help paying their insurance premium, finding transportation to a dialysis center, or simply paying their monthly utility bill. AKS, in conjunction with the American Kidney Fund, reaches out to these individuals by supplying patient grants and implementing other programs aimed at lightening their financial burden.

In addition to helping patients with chronic kidney disease, AKS takes pride in offering our donors a variety of convenient ways to donate. We have a storefront donation center in Atlanta, along with hundreds of donation drop boxes throughout Johns Creek and the surrounding areas (click here to find a drop box near you). You can also drop off your donations at any Value Village thrift department store.

If you would prefer to have your tax-deductible* donations picked up for free from your home or office in Johns Creek, you can call us at 770-441-2220 or sign up online and we will notify you when we are collecting donations in your neighborhood.
