Your Donation in the Metro Atlanta Area Can Do a World of Good

Donation Metro AtlantaResidents of Metro Atlanta can make a donation to American Kidney Services (AKS) and help us in our mission to reduce the financial burden on patients suffering from kidney disease. Many people who have kidney disease must undergo a rigorous dialysis schedule and may be too ill to hold down a job. This can make it difficult for them to meet treatment-related expenses, which is why they need your help.

The American Kidney Fund (AKF), with the support of AKS and your donation in Metro Atlanta, provides patient grants to cover costs like insurance premiums, medications, nutritional supplements, transportation to dialysis centers, and more. Other accomplishments include:

  • AKF’s kidney disease public awareness campaigns reached more than 10 million people in 2010
  • Close to 13,000 people were able to take advantage of free kidney disease screenings
  • More than 3,000 doctors, nurses, and other health professionals received continuing education
  • Millions of pieces of literature about kidney health and disease prevention were distributed last year

AKS is proud to work with a worthy organization like AKF, and to make it as easy for you to support our cause of helping charity organizations in the fight against kidney disease, we’ve established a variety of convenient ways to donate to our charity.
