Ten? From cookbooks to televisions, frying pans to blenders,
possibilities for donations in Atlanta abound. AKS will
proudly make a donation pick up at your home that is fast,
easy, and stress-free. We accept a variety of items, including:
- Men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel
- Small kitchen appliances, pots, and
pans
- Electrical items like lamps, computers,
radios, alarm clocks, etc.
- Plates, serving dishes, silverware,
and glassware
- Small furniture items that one person
can manage
- Linens and bedding
- Miscellaneous decorative items, like
pictures, picture frames, drapes, or vases
- Books
How does the AKS charity work? Simply take
your tax deductible* donations to one of our many Atlanta
area donation centers or drop boxes, or request a pickup
for your donations. We can stop by your place during our
regular rotational schedule, or you can request a special
pickup if you need the items taken in a week or less.
Our drivers pick up as early as 6:30 a.m. and will work
until dark if necessary, Monday through Friday. We are
a Section 501(c)(3) charity whose sole function is to
support American Kidney Fund, which strives to deliver
direct financial aid to patients dealing with kidney disease,
dialysis, and transplants.
