American Kidney Services (AKS) is an Atlanta area charity offering furniture pick up for donors who wish to contribute to the fight against kidney disease. In fact, you may be surprised at all the benefits that come from the simple act of donating small pieces of furniture that you no longer use or want.

From end tables and coffee tables to lamps and TV stands, the AKS charity will pick up your small furniture items in order to generate proceeds that, with the help of the American Kidney Fund (AKF), will help do the following:

• Provide direct financial assistance to patients suffering from kidney disease.
• Sustain kidney disease awareness and education programs.
• Give others the opportunity to purchase affordable, used furniture.
• Reduce the amount of waste produced when furniture is thrown in the trash.

In addition to small furniture, AKS will also pick up men’s, women’s, and kids’ clothes, small appliances, electronics, books, toys, decorative items, antiques, glassware, flatware, and much more.
