Your Toy Donation in Atlanta Helps Patients Suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease
Your toy donation to American Kidney Services (AKS) helps us fight the battle against chronic kidney disease, which has become a national epidemic that affects nearly 26 million people. And because this illness is so prevalent in the southern United States, it’s our job as a community to raise awareness about its effects and how it can be prevented.
Donations of toys, clothes, electronics, and other household items help us generate proceeds that go toward sustaining important initiatives created by the American Kidney Fund. These programs include:
- Financial grants for patients
- Heath insurance premium assistance
- A toll-free help line
- An informational health brochure series
- Free health screenings
- Clinical research fellowships
- And more
There are a variety of ways that you can help spread awareness about kidney disease. Encourage anyone who may be at risk to undergo regular health screenings.
