Donate in Decatur – AKS Offers Free Donation Pick Up Service
Residents of Decatur can donate to American Kidney Services (AKS) and take comfort in the fact that their contributions of used clothing and household items are going to a worthy local charity that strives to lighten the financial burden for patients suffering from kidney disease. We greatly appreciate the continued generosity of our donors over the years, which is why we’ve worked hard to develop a comprehensive donation pick up service that serves Decatur and all areas of the Metro Atlanta area.
If you live in Atlanta, Stone Mountain, Decatur, or any of the surrounding areas, you can choose from the below donation pick up options to ensure that the donating process is as easy and stress-free as possible:
- Standard weekday donation pick up – AKS trucks come right to your house, apartment, or office to collect your tax-deductible* donations. Call 770-609-2200 for details or sign up online to join our pick up schedule.
- Expedited donation pick up – If you need your donations picked up in one week or less, please feel free to contact us to schedule an expedited pick up. This option is especially convenient if you’re moving, remodeling, expecting guests, or have any other event for which you need to clear clutter from your home
- Special Saturday collection – This donation pick up option is reserved for especially large donation loads and is perfect if you would like to donate the items that remain unsold after a garage sale, community sale, or estate sale.
You can also bring your donations for our charitable organization to any of the various donation drop off locations in the Atlanta area: donation centers that include our storefront location in Atlanta and drop boxes throughout the area, and Value Village thrift department stores in Atlanta, Conyers, Decatur, Douglasville, Marietta, Roswell, Stockbridge, Riverdale, Sugar Hill, and Tucker. Simply click here to find the AKS donation location nearest you. We accept clothing, books, toys, tableware, cookware, TVs and other electronics, small furniture, antiques, home decorative items, and more.
