Girls’ Clothing Donation – Give to Charity in Atlanta, Chamblee, Norcross & Beyond

girls_clothing_donationAmerican Kidney Services (AKS), an Atlanta area kidney disease charity, wants you to know how many benefits there are to making a girls’ clothing donation to our organization. Twenty-six million people are currently suffering from kidney disease in this country alone, and your contribution helps us to offer financial support to those patients who may not be able to hold down a job due to their illness.

Other benefits of making a donation of girls’ clothing include:

  • Affordable clothes and household items are available to others – Your donated items give people who do not have the resources to buy new items access to affordable clothes, housewares, electronics, books, and more.
  • Clutter is cleared from your home – Many households have closets overflowing with seldom-worn clothing that is taking up space. You can clean your house of clutter and do a good deed at the same time.
  • You reduce the amount of waste you produce – Did you know that Americans produce nearly half of the world’s waste? Instead of throwing used clothes and household items in the trash, where they’ll eventually clog landfills, donate them to AKS.
  • You can claim tax deductions – All donations to AKS are tax deductible*. Make a list of the items you’re donating and estimate their value based on their current condition. Our donation pick up drivers will leave a tax receipt for you, or you can obtain a receipt at donation drop off locations.

AKS is proud to work closely with the American Kidney Fund (AFK) to provide kidney patients who are on dialysis or awaiting transplants with financial assistance to help them meet their daily living expenses, like utility bills, rent, grocery costs, and more. AKF is ranked as a Four-Star Charity by Charity Navigator, in addition to being an A+ Charity with the American Institute of Philanthropy and a Gold Star Charity with Forbes Magazine.
