When you donate used items to American Kidney Services (AKS), you’re showing your good will toward our charity and our mission to lighten the financial burden of patients suffering from chronic kidney disease. By collecting contributions of clothing, electronics, books, toys, DVDs, CDs, jewelry, kitchen utensils, small furniture, and small appliances from our generous donors throughout Atlanta and the surrounding areas, we’re able to generate proceeds that go directly to the American Kidney Fund (AKF).

AKF works tirelessly to provide grants to patients suffering from chronic kidney disease. This money helps them cover their daily living expenses and pay for treatment-related costs. In 2011, AKF was able to provide financial assistance to nearly 90,000 dialysis patients throughout the nation. This charitable health organization also distributed more than two million pieces of informational health literature, and about 22,000 people throughout major U.S. cities received free health screenings.
