Donate Books in Atlanta & Help AKS Fight Kidney Disease
When you donate books to American Kidney Services (AKS), you’re helping our charitable organization support patients throughout Atlanta who are suffering from chronic kidney disease. Whether they need assistance meeting their insurance premiums, they can’t afford transportation to dialysis centers, or they’re unable to meet their daily living expenses, many patients are struggling to cope financially with their illness. But your contributions of used household items, clothes, and books can make a difference.
AKS is an approved non-profit organization that offers several convenient ways for our generous supporters to donate books and other items to our charity, including:
- AKS storefront donation center – Our donation center in Atlanta is attended from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday – Saturday, and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday. Donations are accepted day or night, 24/7.
- AKS donation drop boxes – Our trademark aqua drop boxes are located throughout Atlanta and the surrounding communities, so it’s easy to donate books and other used items at your convenience. Click here to find a drop box near you.
- Value Village thrift department stores – These businesses have partnered with AKS to accept donations on our behalf, so just drop off your book donation during your local store’s normal business hours.
AKS gladly welcomes children’s books, textbooks, college books, law books, cookbooks, paperbacks, and any other books you would like to donate. You contributions to our charity are tax deductible*, and a donation receipt can be obtained at our donation centers or from the driver who picks up your areas.
